Lazio attacker Mattia Zaccagni lamented his side’s approach in the Derby della Capitale with Roma.
The Biancocelesti player admitted defeat in his post-match media appearance.
“We regret playing the way we did in the first half, we started badly and in a derby you can’t afford that.”
“We had the wrong approach to begin with,” he added.
“We have to start again from the second half, though unfortunately the goal didn’t come.”
“We’re very sorry for the fans. We conceded two goals right away that put us under pressure.”
“When you fall behind like that it’s more difficult to get back and score.”
