Lecce director Fabio Trinchera confirms: “Gallo was an objective for Roma.”

Stefano Trinchera, Lecce’s sporting director, spoke at the “Palermo Football Conference” that is taking place at La Braciera in Villa to talk about the transfer strategies of his Salento team.

Among the topics Trinchera was asked about is Antonino Gallo’s rumored interest in joining Roma in the summer.

Trinchera confirmed these rumors in an interview with Tuttomercatoweb.

“Gallo is showing great things,” said Trinchera.

“He was in the sights of Roma. There has never been a direct negotiation with them, but the Giallorossi thought about him.”

“The player seemed eager about this possibility. Then other choices were made and he stayed at Lecce where he is happy and remains an important player for us.”
