The latest live updates can be found below. Keep refreshing the page throughout to see the latest scores, highlights, and stats.

Third Quarter Score: Iowa 45 – 30 BYU

Iowa quickly extended the gap to 11 to start the second half. Points from O’Grady and Feuerbach helped.

BYU called a timeout 90 seconds in.

Coming out of the timeout, BYU’s Davenport made a three after a kick out from Whiting. Affolter returned the favor immediately for Iowa.

Turnovers became more of an issue for BYU in the middle part of the quarter as they tallied their 13th.

Iowa had only two turnovers in the first five minutes of the quarter after a whopping 16 in the first half.

The lead was 13 for Iowa at the first TV timeout.

After the halfway point, Iowa continued to pull away from BYU, going on a run that showed their skills on both sides of the ball.

Stuelke has been a superstar for the Hawkeyes today, who tallied her 14th point a second triple with just over a minute remaining in the quarter.

In a bright spot for the Cougars, Calvert set a screen for Whiting to give her the room to sink a three adding her first triple of the game.

Affolter had a standout performance this quarter with a total of 7 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 steals so far tonight.

Second Quarter Score: Iowa 25 – 19 BYU

The second quarter got going and the first points came from BYU’s Gibb.

Iowa’s first points came more than two minutes into the quarter from O’Grady in the paint.

Davenport got going for BYU with a triple to bring the game within 3 and tallying her 5th point.

Fouls on Iowa kept BYU in the game as the quarter hit its midpoint.

Back to back offensive fouls for BYU halted their progress, however, and created a bit of early game chaos as the game’s physicality increased.

As the time ticked under five minutes remaining, Stuelke tallied two free throws, bringing her contributions into the double digits.

The offensive struggles for both teams continued, both went scoreless for more than three and a half minutes.

Feuerbach finally broke the scoreless streak with a quick cut to the hoop.

First Quarter Score: Iowa 16 – 10 BYU

As the first quarter continued, Stuelke put up another two on Iowa’s first possession.

She added her first assist off of a clever pass to Heiden on the seal.

Aaliyah Guyton made a three as the time passed the three minutes remaining mark, continuing the momentum in the Hawkeye’s direction.

BYU went more than five minutes without scoring, but Amari Whiting drove the hoop and drew a foul on Heiden. She made both free throws, ending the drought.

In the final minute, BYU seemingly figured something out as they reeled in control of the game a bit more.

Right as the time ran out, Stuelke hit a baseline jump shot for her 9th point of the game.

1st Quarter Stats To Watch

  • Turnovers: Iowa 9, BYU 7
  • FGs: Iowa 5-9, BYU 2-12

First Five Minutes: Iowa 5 – 6 BYU

Lucy Olsen is still unavailable for the Hawkeyes today against BYU. Iowa started the game with three turnovers in their first possessions, not getting things going as they had hoped.

Hannah Stuelke puts up the first points on the board, nailing a three off the kick out from Kylie Feuerbach.

For BYU, the first points came from two makes from Delaney Gibbs at the free throw line.

Turnovers have been an early weak point for the Iowa Hawkeyes, earning six already in the first five.

Scoring was off to a slow start for this late Cancun Challenge matchup. All five points for Iowa came from Stuelke.
