Liverpool are in sensational form – but could things be even better? The club will certainly be wondering that themselves as the Reds prepare for the January transfer window.
That’s the time where you can turn a good season into a great one. Liverpool didn’t actually give Arne Slot anyone new in the summer, either (the ever-absent Federico Chiesa aside) and signing him the kind of player he actively wants carries plenty of merit.
But who could that be? Well, Liverpool supposedly have one name in mind and are pushing hard to get a deal done: Omar Marmoush.
The Reds have been linked with him plenty – with Bild reporting that Marmoush actively wants to move to Anfield. In fact, things are looking so promising that Liverpool fans have now been told something very exciting.

Swiss journalist Marcel Reif is of the belief that Marmoush is heading to Liverpool. He’s so convinced, in fact, that he’s put money on it happening.
“It’s no secret that he will probably move to Liverpool next summer,” Reif told Bild. “I would put a few euros on it.
“As the successor to his great idol Mo Salah. Things couldn’t get any better for him.”
There’s reporting something you’ve heard and then there’s this. Reif sounds near-certain that Marmoush is on his way to Anfield.
Now, that certainly doesn’t mean that a deal is close, nor does it mean this will definitely happen. But all the signs are pointing in one very exciting direction – and it’s one that could benefit Liverpool enormously.
Marmoush is currently shining as one of the most in-form forwards on the planet. He has been described by his sporting director as an ‘incredible’ player.
Exactly the kind of player who could improve this Liverpool side, in other words.
While we’ll fall short of putting money on it just yet, it’s impossible not to get a bit excited.
