Mohamed Salah isn’t just a Liverpool legend, he’s a Premier League legend.

The 32-year-old sits eighth on the goals list with 165. He’s on course to surpass Thierry Henry (175) by the end of the current campaign. He recently leapfrogged the former Arsenal legend in the assists table too after setting up Darwin Nunez’s opener in Liverpool’s 2-0 win over Aston Villa. He’s now 13th on the list and the Egypt international needs just five more assists in the English top-flight to break into the top 10.

It makes the current situation even more galling.

Referee David Coote is now suspended as the Premier League investigate a leaked video. The video appears to show Coote insulting Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp, with a second man in the video declaring ‘We hate Scousers’.

Football finances expert Stefan Borsan has told Football Insider that Liverpool’s new Adidas deal should seriously close that gap with Man United. The Reds are on the right path.

“Liverpool have done relatively well in reality over the last few years,” said Borsan.

“They have grown their commercial revenue quite dramatically over the last 10 years in quite an impressive way compared to a lot of the other teams around them.”
