Here’s a round-up of all the latest Liverpool news for Friday 4th October as Jayden Danns passes his first test and rumours circulate as Jordan Henderson returns.
Salah suffers incredible snub from UEFA
Mo Salah had a special night on Wednesday against Bologna.
The winger scored an extraordinary goal that we have simply come to expect of him in Champions League action, cutting in from the right-hand side and finding the far top corner with a curled effort that no goalkeeper could reach.
And Salah was at the heart of everything Liverpool did on the night. He drifted in to play a delicious tempting cross that the Bologna goalkeeper couldn’t read and that was finished duly by Alexis Mac Allister.
However, Salah dictating the game clearly wasn’t enough for UEFA’s technical observers as he did not receive any recognition for his performance in their team of the week.
Liverpool to make a key decision on Robertson

With all the noise around Liverpool’s emerging stars under new head coach Arne Slot, it almost seems like Andy Robertson has been forgotten about this season.
Ryan Gravenberch is the flavour of the month and attention remains on Mo Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk.
Despite starting most of Liverpool’s games this season, where they sit top of the Premier League and unbeaten in the Champions League, Robertson feels like the odd man out in the side right now.
And between outspoken comments, Kostas Tsimikas seeing more of the pitch and being hooked early because of disciplinary issues – say it quietly, but is the writing on the wall for him?
Darwin Nunez could return for Uruguay sooner than you think

In what was a hotly contested 1-0 semi-final loss to Colombia during the Copa America last summer, Darwin Nunez was retrospectively given a suspension from international football.
The striker was engaged in a physical confrontation with the Colombian fans at the end of the match, in response to an outbreak of disorder in the stadium where players’ family and friends were located.
Nunez was seen climbing the railing of the Bank of America stadium with some of his teammates in what were some of the most remarkable scenes of violence.
But according to Carlos Bardakian, the Uruguayan Football Association (AUF) has today formally launched an appeal with the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) to dismiss the punishment that went Darwin Nunez’s way, which could see him return on international duty next week.
Jayden Danns passes his biggest test yet

There has been much to celebrate at Liverpool as of late.
Top of the league, perfect start in the Champions League, the surging form of a new number of key players. A crucial one, as well, is the success of the youth team setup.
Trey Nyoni made it into the matchday squad against Bologna on Wednesday night, Amara Nallo scored on his captaincy in the UEFA Youth League, and Rio Ngumoha is already delivering on his early promise.
But all of these pale in comparison with the seismic news that Jayden Danns passed his driving test, as announced on his Instagram story.
The rumours surrounding Jordan Henderson’s club visit this week

As they say, desperate times call for desperate measures.
While Liverpool have seen a whole host of new stars emerge in the early stages of this season, the iconic trio of Mo Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk are yet to commit to a future at Anfield beyond the end of the season.
And with fans starting to get a little bit more than trepidation about the situation, anything looks like it could be a sign.
With the surprise visit of former captain Jordan Henderson to the AXA Training Centre in Kirkby, naturally, fan speculation turned to trying to influence the players’ decisions on their contracts.
