Liverpool’s place at the top of the Premier League and Champions League tables naturally indicates that their entire squad is performing at monumental levels.

It’s difficult to disagree. In attack Mo Salah and Luis Diaz started the campaign in mid-season form, supported by the output of Alexis Mac Allister and Curtis Jones amongst others, whilst in defence the usual suspects of Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold have been joined by Ibrahima Konate as true standouts.

The one player that everyone keeps coming back to, still with an air of disbelief, is Ryan Gravenberch. He went from relative obscurity on Liverpool’s bench to arguably the best defensive midfielder in the world in the space of about a month.

Arne Slot handed injury BLOW ahead of CRUCIAL run of games

Liverpool have had their fair share of injuries so far this season.

Arne Slot’s side are sitting top of the Premier League and Champions League standings, having only lost one game so far this season, but have done so without some key players at key moments.

Slot, like most managers, will have been watching the international break through his hands as players put themselves on the line and risk injuries in games that are out of his control.

And a bad tackle on one Liverpool player last night could spell trouble in the immediate future.

Conor Bradley was at the wheel for Northern Ireland last night as his country were promoted to the UEFA Nations League Group B.

Despite registering a 2-2 draw with Luxembourg, Bradley scored a header to put his side 2-0 up and registered a 8.4 rating on FotMob, the game’s second-highest.

That’s why chatter has emerged recently of Bradley’s ability to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold in the Liverpool side should the star choose not to renew his contract (and almost certainly sign for Real Madrid).

Reds wondering if Bradley truly is the man to replace Alexander-Arnold may have their answer sooner rather than later, as the injury sustained by the England international in Liverpool’s last outing against Aston Villa looks set to keep him out for this weekend’s game against Southampton.

With stories, opinions and theories over Trent Alexander-Arnold’s future approaching fever-pitch, Liverpool’s star right-back has been spotted in the very city which he may soon be calling home.

It’s no secret that the contract situation at Liverpool revolving around Alexander-Arnold, Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk is a concerning one. With just over a month to go until all three can start formal talks for free transfers, it is the case of the former which seems to be drawing the most attention.

All this in the midst of persistent speculation that Alexander-Arnold will be leaving for free to Real Madrid, which started in earnest this time last year when he had 18 months to run on his current deal. Now, with just over seven months of that contract to go, he has been spotted in an area of Madrid.

Steven Gerrard to be RESCUED from Saudi Arabia nightmare

A number of former Liverpool players are currently based in Saudi Arabia, most playing for Saudi Pro League sides and even one managing one.

Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane, Georginio Wijnaldum and Fabinho all now ply their trade as players for different Saudi Pro League sides, with mixed success.

Steven Gerrard is also part of the Saudi Pro League as manager of Al-Ettifaq, who Wijnaldum currently plays for.

The legendary former Liverpool captain has had some mixed success since he hung up his boots and decided to give management a go.

Things have been no different since the 44-year-old moved to the Middle East, but he may now be about to be handed a lifeline by his employers.
