Here are our Liverpool player ratings for their Premier League clash with Wolves at Molineux.
Alisson Becker 8/10
Under pressure far more than you’d like but was perfect as always.
Trent Alexander-Arnold 5/10
Foolishly got himself booked inside eight minutes for kicking the ball away. Had a couple of decent enough moments going forward but not as involved as you’d hope.
Ibrahima Konaté 9/10
Solid enough at the back but under pressure far too much. Fantastic header for the goal – as dominant in the air as always.
Virgil van Dijk 7/10
As above, really. Van Dijk was rarely troubled – he was just asked to do too much by the players in front of him.
Andy Robertson 8/10
Got forward well enough. Consistently kept the pressure on Wolves with his forward running and should have had an assist.
Ryan Gravenberch 6/10
Decent but Liverpool have lacked control. No complaints but can hopefully stamp his authority on midfield a bit more after the break.
Alexis Mac Allister 5/10
A couple of really poor touches ruined some decent opportunities. Not his sharpest game by any stretch of the imagination.
Dominik Szoboszlai 4/10
Got to mark him down for that miss. Szoboszlai was quiet until the 40th minute when he should have scored from point-blank range.
Mohamed Salah 5/10
Just very, very quiet by his standards. Liverpool need to find a way to get him more involved after half time.
Luis Diaz 6/10
Brightest of the forwards, simply by getting the ball more often. Combining well with Robertson but just a little short of his best.
Diogo Jota 8/10
Wasn’t brought into the game for any chances. Then went and created one of his own – a magnificent cross for the opener.
