Liverpool have been handed a worrying update about the fitness of Arne Slot’s ‘fantastic’ midfielder while he is on international duty.
The international break is one of the most dreaded periods of the season by all Liverpool supporters. Especially, the September one, which has currently halted a brilliant start to the campaign by Arne Slot’s side.
Now, Slot will face an anxious wait over the fitness of his current squad as they embark on their adventures around the globe while competing for their countries.
One player has already faced an injury scare according to the latest reports, which will be a worry to Slot already. Especially this early on in the campaign.

One player who faces a tough challenge while on international duty is Alexis Mac Allister. His Argentina side takes on Chile and Colombia during the upcoming break and Mac Allister has not arrived completely fit ahead of the camp.
In fact, Mac Allister missed Argentina’s first training session due to ‘muscle load’ according to Argentinian journalist Gaston Edul, which is a worrying update.

The fact that Mac Allister already has muscle issues this early on in the season is a bad omen for what is to come. When the international break is over Liverpool will have matches every three days or so, and that means more muscles problems and strains are bound to come up.
Liverpool will now hope Mac Allister will be used carefully and sparsely in order to ensure he returns in the best possible condition and will face no further risks of aggravating any potential problems.
It’s a long season ahead, and Mac Allister is crucial to Liverpool’s success. Kolo Toure described him as a ‘fantastic’ midfielder while talking to LFCTV last season.
“For me he’s the guy who can control the rhythm of the game,” Toure said.
“You can see when he wants to accelerate the game he can do it, when he wants to slow down the game he can do it as well. When the ball ended up on him, you knew what was going to happen, he’s fantastic, he’s got an unbelievable strike. I think he’s a really, really important player for the team.”
He will need to be preserved well.
