The transfer window may be shut right now but one Liverpool player seems be on the move.

Right towards the end of the window, Jakub Ojrzynski was sent out on loan to the Cypriot side, Spartakos Kitiou.

The move was greeted with a lot of excitement and described as a ‘massive’ transfer by his agency, EL Sports Agency.

But according to Lewis Bower, a journalist covering Liverpool’s academy, Ojrzynski did not receive international clearance for his transfer after mistakes in the paperwork made by both clubs.

This has meant he has been essentially blocked from playing and has not yet featured for the side and subsequently he confirmed his return to Liverpool on Instagram.

It has not been an easy time for the Liverpool loanee since joining Red Bull Salzburg on loan.

Stefan Bajcetic joined the Austrian giants who are in the process of a major rebuilding project undertaken by former Liverpool assistant, Pep Lijnders.

Salzburg lost out on the league title last season for the first time in a decade. Lijnders’ goal alongside Bajcetic was to restore the club back to its former glories.

However, the Dutchman has not been able to do that so far suffering some embarrassing results in Europe and finding themselves in fourth place in the Austrian Bundesliga.

This season is destined to be littered with injuries problems for all of Europe’s elite clubs.

As a result of an extended Champions League tournament format, teams are now playing more games than they ever have before, with matches coming twice a week from much earlier on in the season.

Ahead of their clash with Liverpool on Sunday at the Emirates, Arsenal are set to be missing Ricardo Calafiori, Martin Odegaard, William Saliba (red card suspension), Bukayo Saka and Jurrien Timber.

However, if Saka and Timber were to be rushed back into the side after showing positive sign in training, then they will have three recognised absentees – the same as Liverpool – so what’s the big deal?

Liverpool are set to make a significant move to secure the next ‘Messi’ in the upcoming transfer window.

Serbian international Andrija Maksimovic has been impressing numerous different European clubs at Red Star Belgrade this season, including Liverpool.

The 17-year-old is emerging as one of the hottest new prospects, who has already featured for the Serbian men’s team.

As reported last week, Liverpool were considered to be one of the clubs that were closest to a deal for Maksimovic.

However, Anfield Watch now understands that Liverpool’s intention is to make a permanent move for the player in January, before loaning him back to Red Star Belgrade for the remainder of the season.
