LLC 2024 Updated Points Table: Legends League Cricket Standings After Match 5

The third edition of the Legends League Cricket is underway and the tournament has already witnessed some exciting clashes. The India Capitals squared off against the Southern Super Stars on September 25 (Wednesday) at the Barkatullah Khan Stadium in Jodhpur. Led by Dinesh Karthik, Super Stars defeated the Ian Bell-led Capitals by four wickets to consolidate their hold on the first spot of the LLC 2024 points table.

Opting to bat first, India Capitals posted 171-4 in 20 overs. Opener Dwayne Smith contributed with 36-run innings up at the top and Ben Dunk provided the much-needed spark to Capitals’ otherwise slow innings with a 29-ball 61 runs knock.

Chasing 172, Super Stars received a strong start off the bat of Martin Guptil as he scored a 28-ball 36. Further contributions from Pawan Negi and Chirag Gandhi made sure that the Super Stars chased the total with five balls remaining. With the win, the Dinesh Karthik-led team strengthened their hold on the points table’s top spot.

Coming to the LLC 2024 points table, Super Stars lead with four points in two matches. Konark Suryas Odisha are on the second spot having one in their one match so far. India Capitals, after winning one and losing one, are placed third with two points in as many matches. Gujarat Greats are positioned fourth, with also two points in two matches. Manipal Tigers and Toyam Hyderabad are fifth and sixth respectively. Both of them have not been able to win a match in the LLC so far.
