Sep. 18—BIG RAPIDS, Mich. — Bemidji State men’s golf junior Logan Schoepp shot a six-over par 219 (72-74-73) to lead the Beavers to a seventh-place finish at the Bulldog Fall Classic held at the Katke Golf Club on Monday and Tuesday.
Schoeep fired a 54-hole career-low 219 to finish in the top 20 for the seventh time in his career. BSU finished with a team score of 895 (298-296-301) to finish seventh in a field of nine teams.
Schoepp was followed by fifth-year senior Koby Kuenzel, who carded 225 (75-74-76) and placed 32nd. Four of the Beavers’ five competitors finished within three strokes of each other, with senior Tate Usher one stroke behind Kuenzel (76-75-75=226) and sophomore Teagan LaPlante (76-75-77) and senior Tanner Wanous (75-73-80) each carding 228.
The Beavers return to action next week as they travel to Winona to compete in the J.R. Watkins Invitational held at The Jewell Golf Club Sept. 23-24.
