Long-term Real Madrid target most likely to leave his current club in 2025 – Romano

Real Madrid have had their eyes on Alphonso Davies for a while, and according to transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano, the Bayern Munich star could be on his way out by the end of this season.

The reporter mentions that contract renewal talks between Davies and Bayern Munich appear to have stalled, creating a tense situation where both sides seem far from reaching an agreement.

He suggests there’s only about a 10% chance that Davies and Bayern will find common ground, with the possibility of the player leaving on a free transfer becoming more likely.

Too much talk

There is still hope within Bayern to keep Davies, as they seek a breakthrough in negotiations.

Yet, Real Madrid are not the only club interested in the left-back; Barcelona have also been monitoring the situation closely, aware that they may soon have an opportunity to make an offer.

Recently, Premier League side Manchester United are also showing interest and keeping tabs on Davies’ development.

If a deal with Bayern isn’t reached by January, Davies’ representatives will be allowed to open talks with other clubs, potentially sparking a bidding war across Europe.

The biggest obstacle

However, bringing Davies on board will require more than just interest from clubs. The Canadian international is reportedly seeking a significant signing bonus, asking for €15 million upfront.

Any interested club will need to meet Davies’ terms, which include a contract worth around €10 million per season after tax, with a commitment of at least four years.

Meanwhile, should Bayern fail to reach an agreement, it is likely that Davies will be one of the hottest names in the upcoming transfer market.

Real Madrid, Barcelona, and potentially Premier League teams like Manchester United will have to weigh their options carefully, knowing that landing Davies means meeting these high demands.
