Less than two minutes into Tuesday’s SEC/ACC Challenge game against Florida State, LSU basketball forward Jalen Reed went up for a layup and came down hard. After making his shot, Reed grabbed at his right knee and had to be carried off the court.
Reed had been a breakout star for the Tigers through seven games, averaging career-highs in points, rebounds, assists, and blocks per game to begin his junior season, and was one of four players — alongside guards Jordan Sears, Dji Bailey, and Cam Carter — to start every game this year. He was replaced by Daimion Collins in the lineup.
Reed did not return following his injury.
