Mats Hummels was once again a protagonist of Roma’s backline.
The German defender earned his third consecutive start for Roma in tonight’s 4-1 win over Lecce, and was praised after the match by Claudio Ranieri.
In his post-match interview with Sky Sport, Ranieri remarked, “Hummels is still not 100% fit, but he manages to make up for it by reading the opponents’ choices in advance.”
“He is a great signing and is an example for the locker room,” he added.
“He has always trained to the maximum and has always tried to give me everything in the tank.”
