MCGEHEE, Ark. – A McGehee family is mourning the loss of a man who was killed early Saturday morning.
According to Arkansas State Police, 20-year-old Kevin Morgan was found by McGehee police in the driver’s seat of a truck, shot in the back of his head.

His wife Alexis Morgan said she was with him during his final moments.
“All I knew was to jump over him and just hold him,” Alexis said. ‘And I never imagined that he got hit, I just thought he was just in shock.”
She said they were parked outside his grandmother’s house, who they visit about three times a month.
His cousin Tiffany Morgan said she was nearby when she heard the gunshots.
“We made it out, all you could see was smoke and glass coming out his truck,” Tiffany said.

They said there were four people in the truck when it happened: Kevin, Alexis and their two friends.
She said around midnight, two men that they knew came up to the truck and one spoke with Kevin.
And that’s when Alexis said the other man started shooting.
“I then saw the blood and I went blank,” she described. “All I remember was saying ‘Please help me, please help me, he’s not breathing.”
As state police investigate, the family is left feeling like those responsible for their loved one’s death aren’t being held accountable.
“They’re not doing their job at all, and I feel that way,” Alexis said. “Because until justice is served, nothing will make this any better.”
