Meet NorthJersey.com’s adoptable pets of the week for Dec. 13!
Each week, NorthJersey.com would like to highlight adoptable animals from local shelters and rescues.
If you foster, work at, or volunteer with a North Jersey animal shelter or rescue and know of some animals who are in need of a loving fur-ever home please send a photo, description and adoption information to amwallace@gannett.com to have your adoptable pets featured in the next edition.
This week we are featuring Cricket and Mellow from FOWA Rescue in Wayne.
If you are interested in Cricket or Mellow you can visit for adoption information.
Cricket
Cricket is a 6-month-old kitten who was born in rescue alongside her siblings.
This lucky girl knows nothing but a loving home and she is now ready to find her forever home. She is playful, affectionate and good with kids, other cats and small dogs.
Cricket and her siblings were born on June 25 and have since been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, tested and microchipped.
Mellow
Mellow is a 4-year-old terrier who is ready to be your best friend. However, there is one catch. He only wants to be YOUR best friend. Despite not loving other furry family members, he loves his humans!
Mellow is well mannered, loves belly rubs and playing with his toys. He is good on a leash and loves taking walks. He will need a secure fenced in yard where he can run in a safe place each day. Although he is a fairly high energy boy, Mellow loves to curl up in the evening with a bone and snuggle.
Mellow is trained, neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. If you are looking for the perfect combination of playful pup by day and chill buddy by night, Mellow may be the guy for you.
