Men’s Basketball 2024-25 Schedule Release – Western Colorado University Athletics

Date:

Gunnison, Colo.  The Western Colorado Mountaineers men’s basketball team has released its 29-game schedule for the 2024-25 season, as announced by head coach Zac Claus Thursday afternoon.

In total, the Mountaineers will host 13 contests at Paul Wright Gym, compete in nine non-conference games and 20 conference games.

“This schedule will help us get ready for Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play” says Coach Claus. To face three quality lone star opponents, all on the road, right out of the shoot will definitely test us. We also benefit from adding a pair of contests against tough RMAC teams that will be on record as non-conference games. The excitement of conference play will be upon us in early December. I know that this group is looking forward to the journey.”

The Mountaineers start off the season participating in two exhibition contests November 4 at the University of Utah Valley and November 8 at the University of Denver; followed by road non-conference competitions at Oklahoma Chrisitan University on November 10, at Midwestern State University on November 15 then back in Oklahoma at Cameron University on November 16.

The Mountaineers will host their home opener against Justice College, a non-conference opponent, at 6pm on November 22. Conference play will initiate on December 5 as the Mountaineers host Colorado Christian University then Colorado State University Pueblo December 7.

The remainder of the schedule groups two away, five home, five away, two home, two away, three home then the final contest of the season on the road March 1 at Colorado Mesa University.

Lastly, the RMAC Tournament will be held March 4-8 with times and dates to be determined.
