Men’s Basketball Exhibition & Football Watch Party Set for Saturday Afternoon – University of Missouri Athletics

Fans can get their first look at the 2024-25 Missouri men’s basketball team on Saturday afternoon as the Tigers host Lincoln University in an exhibition game. Tipoff is set for 12:30 p.m. at Mizzou Arena.

Following the exhibition contest, fans are also invited to watch a pair of nationally-ranked teams battle on the football gridiron as the No. 21 Tigers play at No. 15 Alabama, starting at 2:30 p.m.

Admission is free for the exhibition and watch party with concessions open at Mizzou Arena throughout the night. Autograph opportunities with the men’s basketball team will also be available, while parking is open and free for fans in all lots. Students can also receive free food as they root on the Tigers.

ABOUT THE TIGERS

Mizzou is set to feature a new look in 2024-25 under the direction of third-year Whitten Family Men’s Basketball Head Coach Dennis Gates. The Tigers are one of three programs in the nation to feature a top-15 freshman and transfer class, welcoming the country’s No. 5 freshman group and the nation’s No. 13 transfer class to CoMo.

ABOUT THE BLUE TIGERS

Lincoln posted a 15-15 record during the 2023-24 campaign, including a 9-13 record in the MIAA. The 2024-25 Blue Tigers will be led by five returners, including Franck Yetna, who averaged 10.7 points and 5.4 rebounds while shooting.

SERIES HISTORY

The schools last faced off in an exhibition game prior to the 2008-09 season with the Tigers posting a 97-54 victory inside Mizzou Arena. Five Tigers scored in double figures, led by a dozen points from Marcus Denmon and Leo Lyons.

2024-25 SEASON TICKETS

Starting at just $285 and $730 for lower-level seats, season tickets are the only way for fans to guarantee a seat for any of the action during the 2024-25 campaign, including the Tigers’ home game against Kansas in the Hy-Vee Hoops Border Showdown.
