Milan lose Ismael Bennacer for three to four months

Date:

Serie A giants Milan are now set to lose midfelder Ismael Bennacer for many weeks in what is a fresh concern for the Algerian midfielder.

Bennacer had returned to action last season after an ACL injury and hasn’t quite been the same player. He was linked with an exit in the summer but the move never came about.

La Gazzetta dello Sport now confirm that Bennacer has picked up a calf muscle injury which will keep him out for about three to four months. He picked up the injury during the international break, where he withdrew from the squad some days ago and returned to Milan.

Milan could now see him again in January and it remains to be seen if he undergoes surgery or opts for conservative therapy to get rid of the injury. The club were pretty confident from quite early on after the injury that he had picked up an injury which was rather serious.
