Nebraska Men’s Basketball in preseason grind

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – The Nebraska Men’s Basketball Team is into their preseason practices and prep with 2024-2025 season only 41 days away. The Huskers made the NCAA Tournament last season and finished with 23 wins.

Nebraska’s trip to March Madness was the first under head coach Fred Hoiberg and first time since 2014. Nebraska lost to Texas A&M 98 to 83 in the round of 64.

Ahead of the 2024-2025 season, the team has an overhauled roster which includes 9 new players. Of the 8 returners, Ahron Ulis will make his Nebraska debut after sitting out the past season due to NCAA Gambling violations. Rienk Mast is a returner who will not play. Mast is using a medical redshirt after undergoing offseason surgery.

Nebraska Head Coach, Fred Hoiberg, will be undergoing a medical procedure prior to the season for his pacemaker.

The Huskers open the 2024-2025 season at home against UTRGV on November 4, 2024.
