Niko Bundalo schedules official visit to Kentucky Basketball

Date:

With the fall signing period inching closer, the Kentucky Wildcats have another official visit set up.

According to KSR’s Jacob Polacheck, Kentucky will host 4-star recruit Niko Bundalo for an official visit on the weekend of October 18th.

Measuring in at 6-foot-10 and 205 pounds, Bundalo now plays at Prolific Prep in California after previously suiting up for Western Reserve Academy in Ohio. He’s ranked as high as 17th overall in the class by On3. He’s 25th at ESPN, 31st at 247 Sports, and 30th at Rivals.

In addition to the Cats, Bundalo has scholarship offers from North Carolina, Kansas, UConn, Alabama, Michigan State, UCLA, Texas, LSU, Michigan, Ohio State, and Louisville, among others. He’s already taken official visits to UConn, Ohio State, North Carolina, and Michigan State.

Bundalo cut his list down to Kentucky, North Carolina, Ohio State, Pitt, Michigan State, UConn, Xavier, and Texas in early August. He earned an offer from the Cats in June.

Here’s a portion of Bundalo’s scouting report from 247 Sports’ Adam Finkelstein.

“Bundalo is an inside-out lefty four-man with good positional size, athleticism, and deceptive strength. He has good bounce around the rim, a great right hand, and while his frame doesn’t boast a ton of visible muscle mass, he plays through contact fairly well. He’s legit low-post scoring threat who understands angles and is especially effective sealing off defenders prior to the catch for easy buckets.”

While Kentucky continues to strongly pursue Chris Cenac and Caleb Wilson to possibly play the 4 spot next year, Bundalo also appears to be a real contender for that role.
