Nintendo museum opens: How you can explore the gaming history world

Ever wanted to step into the Nintendo world?

A new museum has opened in Kyoto, Japan, that showcases the history of the video game company. 

The Nintendo museum will offer customers experiences with different exhibits, featuring many products that have been released over the years. 

Some exhibits will be interactive, even making and playing your own Hanafuda cards.

The museum also houses a café and a store featuring Nintendo merchandise.

The museum offers tickets that are selected at random and will grant entry for a specific date and time. If interested, the museum says you have to apply and pay for the tickets if you’re selected.  

Tickets can go as high as 3,300 yen or $22.59  

Nintendo, headquartered in Kyoto, has become a household name for video consoles and games, including Mario™, Donkey Kong™, The Legend of Zelda™, Metroid™, and Pokémon.™

According to the company, more than 5.5 billion video games and over 800 million hardware units have been sold around the world since the launch of the entertainment system more than 30 years ago.
