NEW DELHI: Spinners Sajid Khan and Noman Ali wreaked havoc on Thursday in Rawalpindi as the star Pakistan duo put England on the backfoot with a scintillating bowling performance on the opening day of the series-deciding third Test.
England, after opting to bat, did begin positively, but soon the spinners weaved their magic, dismissing the opposition batters one after another.
As England slumped to 98 for five in the first session, Pakistan keeper was on stump mic seen teasing batter Harry Brook.
“No more Bazball,” was Rizwan’s cheeky jibe as England struggled against quality spin bowling from Sajid and Noman.
Openers Ben Duckett (52) and Zak Crawley (29) gave England a positive start but Noman then dismissed the latter for Pakistan’s first breakthrough.
Sajid then joined the party as both he and Noman ran through the top half of England.
The shock England collapse saw Ollie Pope, Joe Root and Harry Brook scoring 3, 5 and 5 respectively.
England went into lunch at 110 for five and after the break lost skipper Ben Stokes as well for 12.
