Nottingham High School celebrates Coach Felicia Legette-Jack with legends basketball game

Date:

Dozens went to Nottingham High School to attend the legends classic basketball game and resource fair.

The game was held to honor Syracuse University women’s basketball coach and Bulldog alum Felicia Legette-Jack.

400 backpacks were given out to students. Additionally, there were food trucks, and music to add to the good time.

Afterwards, former Syracuse athletes signed autographs.

Syracuse City School District Superintendent Anthony Davis smiled ear to ear while he talked about the event and expressed his gratitude to the orange greats that attended, adding that they are role models to his students.

I think just being up close and personal and knowing that someone is giving up their time is extremely valuable.

At 3 p.m. those in attendance got to watch the alumni basketball game.

During her high school career, Coach Jack led Nottingham to a pair of state titles, before attending Syracuse.

Stars such as Eric Devendorf, Lawrence Moten, Derrick Coleman, and Billy Owens were in attendance.

Proceeds from the game benefit the Nottingham High School athletic department and coach Legette-Jack’s NIL program.
