Official: Barcelona announce squad for the match against Getafe

After winning all of their first six matches in La Liga 2024-25 season, FC Barcelona are set to return to action in the league today at Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium with a match against the Madrid-based Getafe CF.

Although Flick has been getting very good results from his team, injury problems are still piling up for him. The team’s captain and the starting goalkeeper, Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, was the latest player to join several other important Barcelona players in the infirmary, as he tore his patellar tendon in the match against Villarreal.

Thus, along with the likes of Ronald Araujo, Andreas Christensen, Frenkie de Jong, Gavi, Marc Bernal, Dani Olmo, Fermin Lopez, etc., Ter Stegen will also be unavailable for this match against Getafe CF. Hansi Flick will have to rely on Inaki Pena for this game, and also for some more games before another goalkeeper is incorporated into the squad.

FC Barcelona have officially announced the squad for this upcoming game, and there are several players from the youth ranks called up, including Andre Astralaga, Aron Yaakobishvili, Gerard Martin, Sergi Dominguez, Andrés Cuenca, Guille Fernandez, and Toni Fernández.
