Oklahoma State Announces Nonconference Basketball Schedule for 2024-25 Season

Date:

The first nonconference schedule of the Steve Lutz era is finally here.

Oklahoma State on Thursday released its nonconference basketball schedule for the 2024-25 season. Here it is:

Date Game Location
Nov. 14 Green Bay Stillwater
Nov. 10 St. Thomas Stillwater
Nov. 14 Southern Illinois Stillwater
Nov. 21 Florida Atlantic Charleston, SC
Nov. 22 Drake OR Miami Charleston, SC
Nov. 24 TBD Charleston, SC
Dec. 3 Tulsa Tulsa
Dec. 8 Seton Hall Newark, NJ
Dec. 14 Oklahoma Oklahoma City
Dec. 18 Tarleton State Stillwater
Dec. 22 Oral Roberts Stillwater

The Cowboys will play every other Division-I program from the state of Oklahoma, doing so in different cities for each game. That stretch starts Dec. 3 where the Cowboys will play Tulsa in Tulsa. OSU last played Tulsa in Tulsa during the 2018-19 season, and the Golden Hurricane knocked off OSU that day. But, OSU has beaten Tulsa the past two seasons. The highly anticipated return of Bedlam hoops comes Dec. 14 when the two high-major state schools play in Oklahoma City. Then OSU closes its nonconference slate by hosting Oral Roberts. The Cowboys haven’t lost to the Golden Eagles since 2007.

The season starts with a game against Green Bay and former OSU point guard Doug Gottlieb on Nov. 14. That game won’t lack storylines between Gottlieb coaching on Eddie Sutton Court, former Cowboy Isaiah Miranda playing for the Phoenix and former signee Jeremiah Johnson also playing for Gottlieb.

Florida Atlantic is the only NCAA Tournament team from last season the Cowboys are sure to face, with that game coming Nov. 21 as part of the Charleston Classic. The Cowboys could also meet Drake and/or Nevada in that tournament, two teams that also made the Big Dance last season.

To announce the schedule, OSU sat down Jamyron Keller, Arturo Dean, Khalil Brantley and Marchelus “Chi-Chi” Avery to guess the teams by a collection of emojis.
