“I’m OK. Wow, sometimes, just there’s just a hole in the stage,” the three-time Grammy winner reassured concerned fans
It’s brutal out there for Olivia Rodrigo, who experienced an onstage mishap at her third of eight Guts World Tour show in Australia.
The “So American” singer, 21, fell through a hole in the stage at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on Sunday, Oct. 13, as the crowd gasped and screamed in unison, per fan-captured videos posted on X and TikTok.
“Oh my God, that was fun! I’m OK,” Rodrigo said, laughing off the unexpected tumble while lifting herself back onto the stage.
As the three-time Grammy winner rose off her knees to stand up, she quipped, “Wow, sometimes, just there’s just a hole in the stage.”
She later posted the clip to her TikTok, captioning it “#subtleforeshadowing.”

”That’s alright,” the Sour artist continued, breathing deeply, with her left hand on her head and her right hand on the mic. “OK, where was I? How’re we doing tonight, Melbourne?”
Rodrigo quickly brushed off the incident early in the show and finished the concert. The international pop star has one more Melbourne show and four Sydney shows left on the Australian leg of the Guts World Tour.
The accident occurred just weeks before the “Obsessed” singer will release her Netflix concert film, Olivia Rodrigo: Guts World Tour, on Oct. 29.

“For those of you who didn’t get a chance to rock out in-person, now you can have the best seats in the house!” Rodrigo said in a statement announcing the concert film. “And to the fans who cheered, screamed, and danced with me, I am so glad we get to do it all over again!”
Rodrigo’s Australia stops are her final tour shows in 2024. The Guts World Tour will resume in March 2025 as part of Lollapalooza in Argentina, Chile and Brazil. The tour will also stop in Colombia for Festival Estereo Picnic before ending in Manchester for Co-op Live on June 30 and July 1.
