Olympiacos get their UEFA Europa League campaign underway with a trip to face Ligue 1 side Olympique Lyonnais on Thursday evening.
It could have been a chance for former AS Monaco winger Gelson Martins to return to France. However, the Portuguese winger, who spent five years with Les Monégasques, is currently suffering from a hamstring injury and won’t make the trip to Lyon with his teammates. The same goes for Giorgos Masouras, who is also suffering from a hamstring injury.
AS Monaco academy product Giulian Biancone will return to France. However, the former Nottingham Forest defender is likely to have to settle for a place on the bench at the Groupama Stadium. Former Chelsea, Arsenal and Fulham winger Willian may also have to settle for a place on the bench.
