One killed in Washington County explosion

FLEMING — One person is dead after a fire destroyed a house in Watertown Township.

The Watertown Volunteer Fire Department responded to a call this morning of an explosion on Turkeyhen Road and found a single-story house and garage engulfed upon arrival, Chief Donald Forshey said. People at the scene reported there was someone inside, and firefighters found a deceased male, he said.

The cause of the fire is not known at this time.
