The parking lot outside Crusens Rt 29 & Whitey’s BBQ was empty at around noon on Monday, and the front door of the establishment was locked. The windows were dark and showed no signs of life inside the building − situated at 1007 N. Main St. in Creve Coeur.
Outside, a sign noted that the business was “closed today.” No reason for the closure or expected reopening date was listed.
Crusens also operates locations at 426 E. War Memorial Drive in Peoria and 2117 W. Farmington Road in West Peoria. In late September, Steven Crusen opened Duck’s just down the road from the Crusens in West Peoria.
