Ottawa Senators Sign Partnership Deal with LPGA Star Brooke Henderson

Date:

The Ottawa Senators announced today at a preseason media event that they’ve signed a multi-year marketing partnership with LPGA star Brooke Henderson.

As part of the arrangement, Henderson’s water bottles and golf towels will prominently feature the Sens logo and she’ll also wear the Sens colours at least once per tournament.

“We are so happy to collaborate with Brooke on this partnership,” Sens owner Michael Andlauer said in a club statement. “Brooke’s spirit, values and determination embody what our Ottawa-Gatineau community is all about.”

Growing up in Smiths Falls, Henderson was a sports nut who eventually had to make a decision on which sport to pursue seriously. It’s safe to say she chose well.

“I’m super excited to team up and partner with the Senators,” Henderson said. “It’s such a cool opportunity. Growing up, I played hockey, I loved hockey, and I always cheered for the Sens. So it feels like a perfect fit. And just being able to be involved with an organization that has world class athletes who every day are pursuing their dreams and pushing themselves. I think it’s really neat to partner up with that and I’m excited to see where it goes.”

The 26-year-old has captured 13 tour titles, more than any Canadian in history. That includes major championships at the 2016 Women’s PGA and the 2022 Evian Championship. In 2018, she also snapped our long national drought, becoming the first Canadian in 45 years to win the Canadian Women’s Open.

Henderson is currently 19th on the 2024 LPGA tour money list with $1,091,294 in winnings through 19 events played.

She becomes the second local professional golf star the Senators have struck an endorsement deal with. After Ottawa‘s Brad Fritsch won his PGA Tour card, he agreed to a similar deal with the Senators back in 2012. Fritsch wore the centurion logo on his golf shirts and golf bag, a deal that ran from 2013-17.
