Pakistan cricketer uses TikTok video to convince captain for a promotion in batting order – WATCH | Cricket News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Pakistan batsman Zaman Khan came up with a unique tactic to convince his captain to promote him in the batting order during a Champions One-Day Cup match. Playing for the Stallions, Zaman showed his captain, Mohammad Haris, a TikTok video of himself smashing massive sixes, hoping it would earn him a higher spot in the lineup.
However, Haris wasn’t swayed by Zaman’s ploy and instead sent him to bat at number 9.
But Zaman seized the opportunity.
Coming in late, he hammered an unbeaten 42 off just 16 balls, including six towering sixes, in a blistering display of power hitting.
After the match, Haris admitted he had made a mistake by not promoting Zaman earlier.
“Tiktok par mainay apnay sixes ki videos lagaye thi taaki Haris dekhay aur mujhe jaldi batting par bhejay. Usne mujhe 6th position ke liye tayyar kiya hua tha [I posted videos of my sixes on TikTok so that Haris would see them and send me in to bat sooner. He had prepared me for the 6th position],” Zaman shared in the post-match conference.
“Wo baad mein mere paas aya aur bola Zaman yaar mai to galti kar gaya. Maine kaha wo video bhi aapke liye lagai thi [Later, he came to me and said, ‘Zaman, buddy, I made a mistake.’ I said, ‘I posted that video just for you],” he added.

In the match, the Panthers posted a massive 344/7 in their 50 overs at the Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad.
Despite a century from Tayyab Tahir and Zaman’s fiery knock, the Stallions fell short by 20 runs in their chase.
