Pakistan’s top bodybuilder Mr. Zahid Mughal etched his name in history by winning the silver medal at the prestigious 2024 IFBB World Fitness Championships & Men’s World Cup held in Tokyo, Japan.

This remarkable achievement marks the first time in Pakistan’s history that a bodybuilder has earned a podium finish at the renowned Bodybuilding World Cup.

Mughal, who represented the Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA), expressed his pride in this historic accomplishment.

“The IFBB Men’s World Cup is the biggest platform for bodybuilding events. I am representing WAPDA and have won the silver medal for the first time for Pakistan in the Bodybuilding World Cup,” said Mughal.

In his address, Mughal also extended his gratitude to the Pakistan Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (PBFF) for their unwavering support throughout the competition, particularly for covering his financial expenses.

“I am thankful to the Pakistan Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, which has put in significant effort for our bodybuilders and covered the financial expenses,” he shared.

The talented bodybuilder also called upon the Government of Pakistan to offer greater support to bodybuilding in the country, urging them to help him and the Pakistan Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation moving forward.

“I urge the Government of Pakistan to support me after this silver medal and also provide assistance to our federation,” Mughal added.

The 2024 IFBB World Fitness Championships & Men’s World Cup saw close to 1,000 athletes from around the globe compete for top honors, solidifying the IFBB’s position as the world’s largest amateur bodybuilding and fitness federation.

The event featured two major competitions: the 2024 IFBB World Fitness Championships and the Men’s World Cup.

The Pakistan team, led by President Mr. Tariq Pervaiz and Secretary General Mr. Tariq Zafar, was part of the esteemed event.
