MARKSVILLE, La. (KALB) – Joan Botts, the vice president of marketing at Paragon Casino Resort, has joined the board for the Louisiana Travel Association (LTA) according to an announcement on Thursday, March 6.
They said Botts directed marketing initiatives at Paragon, one of Louisiana’s first land-based casinos, for the past two years. She also oversees brand marketing, entertainment, public and community relations among many other departments.
Botts said this in a statement:
“It’s an honor to serve on the Louisiana Travel Association board and contribute to advancing our state’s thriving tourism industry. I look forward to collaborating with such an esteemed group of professionals to drive innovation and growth in our sector.”
According to their website, the LTA is, “the voice of the travel industry, Louisiana Travel Association leads and strengthens Louisiana’s vibrant tourism industry through advocacy, education and promotion.”
Marshall Ray Sampson Sr., General Manager of Paragon Casino Resort said this in a statement:
“Joan’s exceptional leadership and deep expertise in marketing have been invaluable to Paragon Casino Resort. Her appointment to the LTA Board reflects her dedication to enhancing tourism and her commitment to our industry’s growth.”
Botts joined the board just one year after Paragon Casino Resort won the LTA’s ‘Accommodation of the Year’ award. She joins representatives from businesses across Louisiana who are chosen to reflect the entirety of the state’s $1.9 billion tourism industry.
