Partey starts, 2 big changes | Expected Arsenal line-up (4-3-3) vs Brentford with Calafiori decision made

Arsenal will aim to close the gap on Premier League leaders Liverpool when they face Brentford on the road tonight.

The Gunners have picked up back-to-back wins in the top-flight but are still nine points adrift of Arne Slot’s side.

Arsenal have the opportunity to reduce the deficit by beating the Bees. Ahead of the game, we anticipate a couple of changes.

Formation: 4-3-3

Predicted Line-up:

David Raya has been solid between the sticks for the Gunners. He kept his seventh clean sheet of the top-flight campaign last weekend. The Spaniard is expected to continue in goal.

We anticipate one change to the backline. Miles Lewis-Skelly has started the last three games for the Gunners and was one of the best players in the 1-0 win over Ipswich Town.

Despite this, manager Mikel Arteta could prefer Riccardo Calafiori over him at left-back. Calafiori could be better equipped to handle Bryan Mbeumo with his better physical presence.

Jurrien Timber is expected to continue at right-back. William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes should be guaranteed starters in the heart of the defence for the London giants.

In midfield, Arteta may want more defensive assurance against a high-pressing Brentford outfit.

Thomas Partey could come in to partner Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard. Kai Havertz could move into the number nine role with Leandro Trossard dropping to the bench.

Gabriel Jesus has been in superb scoring form with five goals in the last three games. We anticipate him to start on the left wing tonight with Gabriel Martinelli on the right flank.

Martinelli has looked impressive with his crossing ability from the right. The Brazilian star should get an extended run from the role in the injury absence of Bukayo Saka.
