New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye left Sunday’s game against the New York Jets with a head injury.

The Patriots listed him as questionable to return before halftime. Maye was injured on a hit to the head in the second quarter. Jets linebacker Jamien Sherwood chased Maye down on a scramble and made helmet-to-helmet contact with Maye on a tackle from behind.

The hit did not draw a penalty flag.

Maye went to the sideline medical tent after the hit and then to the Patriots’ locker room. Jacoby Brissett took over at quarterback on New England’s next possession.
