  • Kamran Akmal suggests PCB to learn from BCCI.

Former Pakistan wicketkeeper batter Kamran Akmal suggests Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to learn from Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) after India defeated Bangladesh in the first Test match by 280 runs at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Bangladesh’s recent outing was against Pakistan where they registered their maiden Test series win against the Men in Green by 2-0 in two Test match series. Akmal blamed PCB officials for the downfall of Pakistan cricket.

Pakistan Cricket is currently at their lowest they were unable to perform since the 2022 T20 World Cup final where they lost against England. After that, Babar Azam-led Pakistan failed to perform in the ODI World Cup which was hosted by India. They have suffered their biggest loss in the T20 World Cup 2024 where they lost a match against non-Test playing nation USA.

“PCB should learn from BCCI, their professionalism, their team, selector, captain, and coaches. These are the things that make a team number one and dominate the world. If we were so good, then Pakistan cricket wouldn’t be here. It is because of your ego Pakistan cricket is suffering,” Kamran Akmal said on his YouTube channel.

Kamran Akmal for Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja

India’s duo of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja managed to get a partnership of 199 runs where India were 144 for six scoring 133 and 86 runs respectively. Akmal lavished praise on the India duo for their contribution saying that India can’t form a Test-playing XI without them in the home ground.

“What an all-round performance from Ashwin. He took six wickets in the second inning and even scored a century. He won the match and took his team out of trouble. It was a match-winning partnership from Jaddu. Without these two players, India can’t form a Test playing XI when playing in home conditions. They have such a reputation. They are big performers,” Kamran Akmal added.

India will now play the second Test match of the two-match series against Bangladesh which is scheduled to start from September 27 to October 1 at Green Park Stadium in Kanpur.
