Penguins Legend Looking For A New Smile

Date:

Former Pittsburgh Penguins captain Jaromir Jagr, who is 52 years old, is still playing professional hockey in Czechia with Rytíři Kladno.

While skating behind the net in a recent game against Mountfield HK, Jagr got caught by an errant high stick and lost most of his upper front teeth. He proudly showed off his future dental work on social media.

Despite the incident occurring during the first period, Jagr had the last laugh, picking up an assist in the 4-2 win.

As the owner of Rytíři Kladno, Jagr has recently started scoring again, with two goals and two assists in the past nine games. His recent success comes after going pointless in nine games.

According to Sportrac, the second-highest scorer in NHL history made roughly $132 million during his playing days in North America.

This means he could afford to find the best dentist and have his smile back in retirement next summer if he follows through on his September announcement.

Interestingly, this incident occurred around the seventh anniversary of his last NHL game, which took place on Dec. 31, 2017.

Since leaving North America, he’s been skating with Rytíři Kladno. His most recent best season came in 2019-20 when he scored 15 goals and 29 points. At this time, Rytíři Kladno sits at the bottom of the Czechia league standings.
