Rated as a 3 or 4 star prospect by various rankings services, Stowers said on social media “This what yall been waiting for?! 100% committed.”

Stowers was a unanimous selection for Big 12 Conference first-team honors last season, which included a six-game stretch in which he scored 22, 20, 16, 24, 25 and 16 points.
