The news of Guardiola’s extension removes an air of uncertainty that has surrounded the world champions. Sam Lee’s report confirms that Manchester City can now move forward with Guardiola’s future secured. That is huge for the club going forward.

Sam Lee has reported that Pep Guardiola has agreed to a one-year contract extension. Furthermore, Lee reports that Guardiola’s new deal includes the option of a second year. Lee adds that an official announcement on Guardiola’s contract extension is expected in the coming days. Lee’s report puts to bed any concerns that this would be Pep Guardiola’s final season as Manchester City manager.
