Purdue Men’s Basketball Drops to 11th in this Week’s AP Poll

Date:

In this week’s AP Poll, Purdue men’s basketball took a slight tumble, down 3 spots to 11th in the nation. This follows a 1-1 week in which Purdue lost at Penn State before taking down Maryland at home.

If you go past 25th by votes received, Penn State would be ranked 30th and Maryland would be 37th following the past week.

Purdue remains the best ranked Big Ten team, one slot better than Oregon and 3 better than Michigan. Other Big Ten teams that are ranked include Wisconsin at 20th, Michigan State at 21st, and UCLA at 24th. Alongside Penn State and Maryland, Illinois and Indiana are also receiving votes.

This week, Purdue will only play one game against #17 Texas A&M in the Indy Classic. One week after that, Purdue will head to Alabama to take on current #2 Auburn.
