HOUSTON (KIAH) – Members of Texas’ Vietnamese-American community held rally on Sunday ,December 1 at 9 a.m. at 11360 Bellaire Blvd. in southwest Houston. The group is demanding justice for the victims of the 2016 marine disaster caused by Formosa Plastics facilities in Vietnam. The rally, organized by Justice for Formosa Victims, sheds light on the corporation’s global human rights violations. This comes as Formosa continues to allegedly violate a court-ordered “zero discharge” policy following illegal pollution of Lavaca Bay.
