Rangers have completed the signing of Birmingham City midfielder Charlie Devlin on a loan deal for the remainder of the season.
The Gers announced the news via a post on their official club website just a short time ago.
The 26-year-old will reunite with Rangers head coach Jo Potter in her time playing north of the border. The pair previously worked together at Birmingham City prior to Potter’s departure last summer.
Devlin has spent the last two seasons with Birmingham City. She initially joined the club on loan from Leicester City for the 2022/2023 season. Devlin signed for the Blues on a permanent basis last summer. She has a year remaining on her contract at St Andrew’s @ Knighthead Park.
The midfielder spent her youth with Arsenal before moving to Millwall Lionesses. In 2018/2019, Devlin became a member of the first-ever full-time professional Manchester United side and she was a Barclays Women’s Championship title-winner with the club that year. After a brief spell with Charlton Athletic, Devlin repeated the feat with Leicester City as they were promoted to the Barclays Women’s Super League in 2020/2021. The player spent three-and-a-half seasons on The Foxes’ books before signing for latest club Birmingham City.
Devlin could make her debut for loan club Rangers when they play host to Spartans on Sunday afternoon.
