This week, a report surfaced that Real Madrid will monitor Vitinha during the 2024-25 season to determine whether they make a push for the midfielder, who is under contract until 2027.
Los Blancos lost Toni Kroos this past summer after the German native retired from football. As a result, the Spanish side will be looking for his long-term successor.
Vitinha had a breakout 2023-24 season, and so far this campaign, the midfielder has continued to make strides.
Despite there being no relationship between PSG and Real Madrid, Defensa Central noted that the La Liga side are confident that, when the time comes, the pressure that the player can exert will help complete his signing.
However, OK Diario (h/t Fichajes) reports that Real Madrid’s top target remains Florian Wirtz for next summer. The 21-year-old German is highly regarded by the coaching staff, but prying him away from Bayer Leverkusen won’t be easy or cheap.
In fact, the club will likely need to spend hundreds of millions to secure his signature. Nonetheless, a backup option could be Vitinha, whose market value has now risen to €60 million, per Defensa Central.
