Red Wings’ Patrick Kane Is Good To Go

Date:

Life is better together.

In other words, it’s easier for a team to win hockey games if all their players are healthy. Today, the Detroit Red Wings have some good news to give the team and fans of the club.

Patrick Kane is coming back.

Just this morning, the Red Wings took the talented winger off Injured Reserve. Kane has missed the past four games due to injury. The Red Wings were 1-1-2 without the star forward.

Kane has been underperforming so far this season. With only 10 points in 20 games, he is on pace to record his lowest point total in a season.

However, Red Wings fans should be optimistic. Adding Kane back into the mix could give this group the jolt it needs to start winning more games. The veteran forward should be motivated to do what he can to help the team win.

Red Wings fans have seen Kane’s creativity in the offense. He’s undoubtedly one of the most skilled puck handlers in the NHL. But he’s not prime Kane.

In light of that, having him on the team’s second (or even third) line can only improve the team’s offensive threat. By having him play away from Dylan Larkin, the team can spread the offense and receive contributions from multiple lines. Having Kane pick up where he left off on a line with Marco Kasper and Vladimir Tarasenko is the best way to ease him back into game action.
