Red Wings Seider And Raymond Create New Callback To Old Video

Date:

They say history repeats itself.

For a couple of young Detroit Red Wings, this rings true. Defender Moritz Seider and forward Lucas Raymond have recreated a video that they did three years ago.

The Red Wings social team took to TikTok to share this video. The first part of the video involves someone off-camera telling Raymond and Seider to close their eyes. Once they do that, there is a long pause before they both raise their hands and clap at the same time.

The video shows Seider’s incredibly thrilled reaction.

The second part of the video shows the pair again, this time in the present. They perform the same exercise and clap simultaneously. Seider has the same reaction to the result.

These are the types of videos that fans love to see. They see their favorite players in a new light, with a dash of entertainment on the side.

While the Red Wings have had a mixed 5-5-1 start to the year, Raymond and Seider are doing what they can to earn more wins.

Raymond has 11 points in 11 games while playing 18:33 a night. Six of his 11 points have come from the man advantage, a trend that hopefully will continue.

Conversely, Seider also produces well, with seven points in 11 games. The coaching staff continues to rely heavily on him, as he plays over 24 minutes a night, leading all Red Wings players in that statistic.

The pair signed their new extensions this past September, within three days of each other. Because of that, Red Wings fans can look forward to this kind of warm-hearted off-ice content for many years.
