Titans head coach Brian Callahan hinted a quarterback switch could be coming and now it does appear to be on the way.
Per Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, Will Levis is being benched for the Week 16 matchup against the Colts. Mason Rudolph will presumably become the starter for Sunday.
Levis was replaced by Rudolph midway through Sunday’s loss to the Bengals after throwing his third interception of the contest. In his second season, Levis has completed 63.7 percent of his passes for 1,916 yards with 12 touchdowns and 12 interceptions this season.
Rudolph has appeared in five games with three starts, completing 63 percent of his passes for 1,015 yards with six touchdowns and five picks. He was 21-of-26 for 209 yards with two TDs and one interception in the loss to Cincinnati.
At 3-11 on the season, the Titans have lost five of their last six games after beating New England in overtime back in Week 9.
