Report: Tyreek Hill is expected to play, Jaylen Waddle is not

Date:

The Dolphins got some bad news about quarterback Tua Tagovailoa on Saturday and Sunday got underway with mixed news about their top two receivers.

Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle were both listed as questionable to play against the Browns in Cleveland on Sunday. Hill is dealing with a wrist injury that has been an issue for most of the season while Waddle is trying to return after missing Week 16 with a knee injury.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Hill is expected to play, but that Waddle is set to miss another game. Tagovailoa was downgraded from questionable to doubtful on Saturday because of a hip injury. Tyler Huntley is expected to start against one of his former teams as a result.

The Dolphins’ slim playoff chances got a boost on Saturday with the Bengals’ win over the Broncos. They need to win out while the Broncos lose in Week 18 and the Colts lose one of their final two games in order to advance to the postseason.
