Revealed – The Fee & Terms For Empoli To Sign On-Fire Loanee Striker From Inter Milan

Empoli must pay a fee of €5 million to sign Sebastiano Esposito on a permanent basis from Inter Milan at the end of his loan.

This according to Italian outlet FCInter1908. They also note that the Nerazzurri would be entitled to a 20% sell-on fee as part of the deal if the Tuscans do sign the striker.

22-year-old striker Esposito has hit outstanding form in recent weeks.

The Inter-owned striker scored the equalizer for Empoli in a Coppa Italia round of sixteen clash with Fiorentina. He then scored in the shootout as they knocked out their derby rivals.

Then this evening, Esposito scored twice in a 4-1 win against relegation rivals Hellas Verona in Serie A.

Therefore, it is looking increasingly as though Empoli will want to sign Esposito on a permanent basis.

The Tuscans brought the Italian youth team international in on loan during the summer to bolster their hopes of Serie A survival.

So far that is exactly what he has done. And should Empoli indeed avoid the drop, then Esposito looks as though he will be a valuable addition to their squad going forward.

Empoli Could Sign Sebastiano Esposito For €5M From Inter Milan

When Empoli signed Esposito in the summer, it was just on a season-long loan deal.

This was the latest in a string of loan moves for the young striker. But the first in Serie A.

Previously, Esposito had stints with the likes of SPAL, Venezia, Basel, Anderlecht, Bari, and Sampdoria.

But the 22-year-old has enjoyed his start to life in the Italian top flight.

FCIN1908 note that the loan deal contains a purchase option.

Empoli can make Esposito’s loan stay into a permanent one for a fee of €5 million.

However, the outlet further note, there is also a sell-on fee. Should Empoli sign Esposito with the purchase option, they would also owe 20% of any future transfer fee for the striker to Inter.
